Weirwood Predators (5/23/2019) - A warm sunny day afloat on Weirwood turned into a very productive day for Austin Battell recently. Using the Westin W3 8ft Dropshot rod, Austin caught 4 nice Pike to nearly 12lb and several nice Perch to 2lb 6oz. The Westin Shadteez and Crayfish patterns were the best lures on the day.
Another New Lagoon Big Tench takes a prize. (5/23/2019) - Jason Craven’s 8lb 8oz Tench from the New Lagoon won him the monthly Pallatrax prize in the May edition of the Freshwater Informer. Well done Jason, a selection of the latest range of Pallatrax hooks are on the way to you.
PB Tench from the New Lagoon (5/23/2019) - Venue regular Roger Fermor had a cracking session on the New Lagoon recently. Roger caught several nice fish, including Carp, Bream, Roach, Rudd and Tench, with this stunning 8lb 8oz specimen topping the day and giving Roger a new PB.
Barden Lake Pike (5/23/2019) - Last season’s specimen Pike winner Ian Seamer got off to a flyer in trying to retain his title. Using deadbait on Barden Lake, Ian landed this long and nice looking Pike which weighed 15lb.
PAIRS MATCH – Hartlake Down – 3rd March 2019 (3/5/2019) - This season’s Pairs match was a close run affair all the way to the whistle. CATCH REPORT – CANNON BRIDGE (1/31/2019) - Club match regular, Tony Crossley braved the freezing conditions on the upper Cannon Bridge section and was rewarded with this fine 5lb 2oz Chub. There have not been many decent Chub captures of late but we are sure this fish will take some beating for the annual Specimen Chub Cup. Well done Tony.
Cold snap makes the fishing tough (1/31/2019) - Neal Rodgers managed to catch this nice Perch from the boat at Weirwood recently. It was a tough day with Easterly winds and a water temperature of 4.7 degrees. Not many bites but this was the best fish of the day at 2lb 11oz..

WORK PARTY – SUNDAY 14th JANUARY – OLD BALLAST PIT (1/9/2018) - All members please note that the Old Ballast Pit will be closed this Sunday, 14th January as there is a work party booked and tree work will be carried out. Any overnighters must be away from the lake by 8.ooam Sunday morning.
WEEDCUTTING DATES – BARDEN & BALLAST PIT (1/9/2018) - We have booked  Weedcutting Services for two days on Barden Lake to clear and remove the dead weed in both bays.
